What camera is best should i get the Nikon d90 or a Sony?

I want to take nature pictures and studio pictures like close ups of flowers and things like that. I dont know if i should get the nikon D90 or one of the sony cameras i know someone with a sony and i really like it they have a lense that is made to absorb more light which i really like can someome tell me what lense it might be and what camera i should get?

i have a nikon d60 and my dad has a d90 and it works very well for nature photography!! it'll be great for that stuff.

basically, sony is nothing compared to the d90…

    Nikon is much better than Sony if you are talking about cameras in the D90 range. When it comes to point and shoot I still think Nikon is better than Sony, but Sony does well too. For DSLR though, go Nikon (or Canon). When you look at what the professionals use it is Nikon and Canon 99% of the time. There is a reason for that.
