I have a Sony PSP and a PC with broadband. I don't have a wireless network and don't know what I need to buy to get one or even how to set it up. I've heard I need a wireless network card on my PC for it to work, how do I find out if I already have one on my PC?
You can either get a wireless router or a wireless adapter like the WiFi Max. To find out if you are puting out a wireless signal using your PSP go to settings, then network settings, then infrastructure mode. Select New Connection the hit scan (make sure your wlan switch is turned on. If no access points are detected you don't have a wireless network card. Some games allow online play through infrastructure mode which is just like online play on your PC. Others offer AdHoc mode which is with people around the same area. Alot of the games with multiplayer do offer some form of both. No one really knows what the infrared port is for since AdHoc and infrastucture modes both need the wifi switch turned on.

hi there, I have a wireless router, which allows me to go online and search the web from the PSP, its simple to set up, just buy one and plug it in.
I did not know that you can go online with the PSP and play games, though I do believe that if one of your mates is in your house that you can play the same games head to head, though I thought the PSP had inbuilt infrared for that?

You can use it online anywhere there's a wireless LAN, a lot of Starbuck's for instance.
To use it at home you'll need a wireless router. Or you can play head to head over wireless without the need for a router.

ok for the computer you can buy a wireless network card they run from 10 to 50 bucks depending on the brand , now this card goes into the expansion slot in your computer, the card has a attenna so you can adjust it to get a signal now what this does it looks for any routers in your area so then you can access them and bing!!!! you got free internet
for the psp all you need to do is the set up a connection from your psp and scan for any local routers and thats about if you have a older model psp like the first ones that came out then im not sure if you can just down load the latest firmware
