What is the max amount of external memory the Sony Ericsson K800i can handle?

On the Sony Ericsson website, the specs say 2GB. On Wikipedia, it says 4GB. Others say you can make it take 8GB.

What's the real maximum amount? Can you hack it to make it take more?
