Where can I find step by step instructions for dis-assembling a sony vaio vgn-a290 laptop ?

Everything is in the question. I need to repair my Sony Laptop. The Sony service center asks for $600 to repair it. I cant afford that much.
I have searched through the sony website. I cant find anything. It is not there. I am looking for some pictures of the disassembly process.

Try looking on sony’s website for a pdf hardware manual. i did the same thing you are doing with my thinkpad, IBM had a manual with dissasembly instructions, screw sizes, etc….
