I want to purchase the Sony Reader PRS 505, but I am a little wary of ordering it online. Where can I directly purchase the Reader or are there any other options?

I'll still suggest you to go for online store like Amazon. It may not be easy to find it available in any local store, for many places… And I'll say don't worry to buy online. I often shop online with the credit card, just choose some site that is famous and legistimate. Like Amazon, it is a legistimate seller.
