I just cannot seem to understand why these products are more expensive the examples such as sony’s walkman and Deuter walker. Is there anything special about them? Or is it that people pay for the product blindly and obliging to these not-worth the money products or can there be something behind them that people are attrated to it.

because they want more profit and people just buy these things w/o realizing they’re not gettin what’s their money worth, they actually just pay for the popular "BRAND NAME" of the product

because they are so much better and they are made with good quality parts. I have had my ipod for three years and it still works fine, they are built like tanks.

Also people like the simplicity of how they operate. Sony devices are so much more complicated and have a lot of different controls that are difficult to remember and are made with cheap plastics…
