I am trying to connect my dvd player with component cables. When the dvd plays the screen is like double vision. I tried turning the progressive on and off with no luck. My playstation will do the same thing but only when playing a dvd not a game. I have a cheap dvd player that works fine when hooked to the same cable. I Called customer support but they did not know anything.
Go the menu of the tv (source inputs, like tv, cable etc) and select dvd if provided. There is no sound connection to the tv for sound, you’ll have to use a receiver for sound. Off brands tv have poor service suppoty as you found out. Hope this helps.

It is your TV, Westinghouse is a ‘cheap’ brand.
More often than not, you get what you pay for.
Youll just have to use what works, Or go buy another LCD.
