I just did some …
I just did some research on OLEDs, apparently the downsides of being made of organic materials (organic light emitting diodes) are a shorter lifetime compared to LCDs and water damage. Water damage is not really a problem but shorter lifespans compared to LCDs are. They is a workaround to the prob but it sacrifices half of the brightness

No it’s not. The …
No it’s not. The only OLED TV Sony sells right now is the 11″ one, and it’s $2,499.99 @ SonyStyle. You’re likely confusing OLED with the Bravia models. Fully expect you to come back and realize you made a mistake, and to that I say – “that only makes you human”.

This is kind of …
This is kind of surprising since usually TVs as they get thinner get worse color, but this gets better. Guess it’s a paradigm shift.
August 27th, 2009 at 10:15 am
Well, is the burn …
Well, is the burn about as bad as a Plasma’s or tame as a CRT’s? Or possibly even worse?
And that did not answer my question. But thanks for the insightful comment anyways.

Samsung will likely …
Samsung will likely have the best OLED tvs when these TVs reach the consumer market. Sony is in a current state of mess. There were rumors that they would cease r&d on OLED.
August 27th, 2009 at 10:15 am
Well, here is the …
Well, here is the thing. I’m not going to buy an OLED tv right now for 2000+ smackeroos. I need to know if OLED tvs have perfect response time so I can play SF4 and RB2 on my tv without having to worry about input lag. Further more, I would also like to know which company makes the better oled.
